Porscha's BACK

It was a real shock when Porscha moved from home to Colorado last July, but I am slowly settling into the idea. The spontaneous crying spells are less frequent, less intense and shorter but I will never be completely resigned to the idea of her being so far away or hanging from mountains.

This month, we get a reprive as she has come home for Mother's Day (thanx for the lovely surprise, Porscha) and Cynthia's graduation. We are overjoyed to have her with us, even if it is for just a short month. Today, I took a walk with her and Beau (her loyal companion) around Ann Arbor. My allergies were bothering me so I went home for a nap but it took a great deal to get myself away from her. Each moment is precious. Each smile, hug and laugh is filed away for to be revisited when she is again in Colorado, or wherever her van may take her.

(The photo is from Porscha's visit at Christmas time. Yes, those are tears in our eyes as we are saying good-bye at the airport.)
