Happy Birthday, Dad!

Tuesday was my dad's 78th birthday. I went back and for about visiting as I live 2 1/2 hours away, but I just couldn't miss seeing him. He has Parkingson's disease and I want to make the best the time I have left with him.

Traveling wasn't bad, as it was sunny and dry early. But grey filled the sky and became darker and thicker and eventually spilled buckets of rain. The rain was so heavy that I bought a toothbrush, spent the night with my parents and drove back early Wednesday.

I am very glad I made the effort and drove across the state.
